S. J. BUSHUE
S. J. Bushue’s post-graduate studies involved helping children learn through visual, auditory, and multiple language formats. It was this work that inspired her to create playful, entertaining, and educational picture books. She focuses on writing bilingual and special situation children’s books for preschool and early elementary school-aged children. She founded and runs The Little Fig, a children’s book publisher and packager.
Sherry often compliments her books with catchy title-specific sing-a-longs and curriculum guides that ignite kids to learn more. She loves life in the Midwest—family, friends, fur-babies, water activities, warm summer nights, and frogs. She is fascinated by frogs.
Sherry is a proud member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, the Heartland Writers for Kids and Teens, and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for Greater Kansas City.
